South San Francisco High School students, Ashly Nand and Cesar Gomez, talk about how the AVID program and Roadtrip Nation have helped to empower, teach, and guide them. Ashly points out that if students were given more opportunities to express their creativity—more opportunities try things and fail, they could use their failures to grow and, ultimately, to succeed.
