"We should be preparing kids for life in the 21st century," emphasizes Ali Partovi of Code.org. "And in the 21st century, some knowledge of computer programming is necessary no matter what you want to do when you grow up." This talk outlines an effort to change the mindsets and laws which have relegated computer science to an elective. To that end, Code.org rallies tech giants and celebrities, in videos and in international programs that reframe computer science as an exciting, necessary subject pervading every aspect of our lives.
