Coming from China when she was only seventeen years old, Yvonne Chan had a dream: she wanted to change things in our educational system. She did just that. By revamping the school system from the teachers up and by reforming the five basic principles, Human Capital, Curriculum and Instruction, Fiscal Resources, Partnership and Collaborations, and School Culture, into a cohesive circle, Chan's inner-city school is now flourishing.
